Team Leader
Support Services
Lauren Timmerman
Lauren is another Interchange Outer East ‘lifer’ having starting with the organisation as a youth volunteer over 20 years ago. She moved through a variety of roles; casual support worker, day service support worker and family coordinator (known as a flexible care coordinator at the time), before leading the flexible care team until heading off on maternity leave.
Having filled in as the IOE general manager on occasion and working in quality coordination and projects on an off for seven years (thanks to more maternity leave), Lauren has now settled into her role as team leader of the Support Services Team.
Lauren is passionate about connecting with, and supporting families as a whole. She enjoys having the opportunity to work across the agency, maintaining contact with all hubs and program areas. This includes keeping her toe in recreation programs which she finds is a great way to maintain contact with participants, families and staff.
A mum of three, Lauren’s weekends are busy and full of sport which is just the way she likes it. She also loves camping anywhere near water.
