Host Volunteers

Would you like to regularly share some time with a child or teenager with a disability?

If you’re aged 15+ years you can volunteer! Volunteering is FUN, FREE and LIFE CHANGING!

We welcome placement students and work experience students across the agency.

Volunteering experience is great for resumes, references and community service awards.
Volunteering is an excellent way to gain experience if you are looking at working in the disability, health, community and/or education sectors.
Many volunteers find casual or permanent work as IOE support workers and with the introduction of the NDIS this is an employment growth area. Many of our program coordinators and recreation leaders also started out as volunteers with IOE.

Interchange Outer East holds camps and special events just for volunteers to show you how much you are appreciated.
All volunteers have free access to IOE training and information sessions on a range of topics – a great way to build skills and knowledge.
We provide you with a number of resources to help you in your volunteer role.
