The Interchange Outer East Home Experience Program (HEP) Open House event was a great success!

On Thursday 19 October 2023, we welcomed 17 groups of people through for a tour of the HEP home in Knoxfied, Victoria. A mix of families, support coordinators, support workers, potential housemates and friends visited to learn all about this fantastic program. Current and past housemates welcomed the guests, while program staff – Linda, Louse and Bec spent four straight hours explaining how the program operates and answering questions. Needless to say they finished the evening with no voices left!

This was the first ever HEP Open House and it presented a fantastic opportunity for guests to get a closer look into the program, hear from housemates, take a look around the house, meet the staff and get a real feel for whether HEP may be right for them. Everyone who came through was really impressed with the program and many expressed interest in joining this unique and potentially life-changing program in 2024.
